CARD134AP Adult Cardiac Sonography Skills I: Advanced Placem 1 This course provides hand-on experience in a skills lab setting. The student acquires skills in operation of the ultrasound machine and performing noncomplex adult echocardiograms. The student will begin to correlate the patient's medical history and clinical symptoms to possible cardiac pathology.
CARD214AP Adult Cardiac Sonography Skills II: Advanced Place 1 This course builds on skills learned in Adult Cardiac Sonography Skills I. It offers hands-on practice in a skills lab setting. The student will continue to gain experience in obtaining noncomplex adult echocardiograms as well as obtaining valve areas, evaluating regurgitant lesions, and extraction of pressures from measured volumes. Mechanical assist devices, stress testing, trans-esophageal echocardiograms and contrast studies will also be introduced.
CARD222AP Clinical Rotation I: Adult Cardiac Sonography: AP 7 In the clinical setting the student will interact with cardiologists, other echo techs, and patients. The student will be performing complete transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echoes on patients. Preceptors will be assigned to act as mentors to the student to ensure a positive experience.
CARD232AP Clinical Rotation II: Adult Cardiac Sonography: AP 6 In the clinical setting the student will continue to interact with cardiologists, other echo techs and patients. The student will gain additional experience in performing complete transthoracic, transesophageal adn stress echos on patients. Preceptors will be assigned to act as mentors to the student to ensure a positive experience.

VASC216AP Vascular Sonography Skills II: Advanced Placement 1 This course builds on skills acquired in Vascular Sonography Skills I. It provides additional hands-on practice in a skills lab setting. The student will continue to gain experience in completing full examination of all cerebral/peripheral vascular areas of interest, initial interpretation of the results and recognition of possible indications for surgical intervention.
VASC224AP Clinical Rotation I: Vascular Sonography: Adv Plac 7 In the clinical setting, the student will interact with vascular surgeons, other vascular sonographers and patients. The student will be performing complete carotid, lower and upper arterial and venous studies. Preceptors will be assigned to act as mentors to the student to ensure a positive experience.
VASC234AP Clinical Rotation II: Vascular Sonography: Adv Plc 6 In the clinical setting, the student will continue to interact with vascular surgeons, other vascular sonographers and patients. The student will gain additional experience in performing complete carotid, lower and upper arterial and venous studies.
