NURS320 Level III Nursing Practicum (07/06/2010-08/06/2010)

Course Memo
This clinical nursing course is designed to assist the student in integrating knowledge and skills obtained during Level III. Students select a nursing focus to expand critical thinking, organization, health assessment, and nursing care skills introduced in Level III. Students will work with an assigned faculty or preceptor based on the practice area selected.
Course Section Description
This course meets July 6-July 29. Orientation day is Tuesday July 6 from 1200-1300 in Classroom 204. ATI testing will be done on July 6th as scheduled from 1300-1600. Each student will be scheduled for a one hour block. Clinical days are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 0645-1515. Pediatric and OB experience is days and evenings. Pediatric experience is at Children's Hospital in Omaha. Each student will be required to complete CAAP testing on one of the following dates from 0800-1330: July 9, 12, 19, or 26. All students must be available Tuesday July 6 from 0800-1600 for mandatory MAK training. Pre-req: Nursing Care III Co-req: None
